Ho ho ho! It must be time for a sausage sizzle!
As we all know, swimmers are early birds. It’s no different at Abbotsleigh where, this year, Santa arrived on 8th December to help us annihilate a butchery full of sausages.
Chris ‘the Pres’ said a few words. Cameron presented certificates and water bottles to State qualifiers. Amanda and our team at the Pacific School Games were having fun in Adelaide.

SMNE DISTANCE MEET – Zac Dunlop
Zac carried his positive training efforts into the racing pool. Zac had been diligent with preparation and knew what he wanted to work on and made sure of it in the competition pool. Skills that stood out were his turn approach, fast execution of turns and push offs. Even in races were Zac was leading, he continued to fight to improve himself. Great Team ABB spirit Zac!
SMNE 13/U SUMMER SPRINTS – October 22nd – Kendra Gordon
Kendra has been working well with Coach Leon. Kendra’s consistent attendance at training definitely assisted her. Kendra was keen to work on the racing skills she had been practising. Finishing off races strong was very evident. Great job Kendra!
CLUB NIGHT – November 2nd – Jayath Gunawardena
Coming off a positive experience at Camp Noosa, Jay continued his form at Club Night. Jay but together a beautiful 200 freestyle. He improved his turns, underwater efforts and finished strong. Jay’s swim happened to be 15 seconds faster than his previous best. Awesome Jay!
Our annual presentation night took place on Tuesday October 17th. Thank you to school Headmistress Mrs Krimmer for handing out the awards, and Australian swimmer Kurt Herzog for telling us history story of determination over adversity.
