Parent Forum Wed 19th Feb

To all Abbotsleigh swim club and Squad parents

Chris Austin, Brandon Lawrence, Chris Fydler and I will be hosting a parent forum on Wednesday 19thFebruary from 5.15 – 6.15pm at the Aquatic Centre.

Topics to be discussed include;

  • Competitive squads
  • Camp wrap
  • Highlighted Calender items for the year ahead
  • Club social/ fundraising adventures
  • Club committee report
  • Q and A

The meeting will be held during swim club. The gold squad and 3 of our learn to swim staff will host the night for all club swimmers. Events on the night will include 4 x 50’s, 100IM and relays time permitting.

The Gold Squad will receive an averaged point score for the evening so it is a point score night.

It would be greatly appreciated if you could make the meeting a priority so we can relay the messages to all families and continue on with our growing team spirit. Please come along to the meeting even if you are not a club member. The meeting has information for all squad members.

Kind regards

Leanne Speechley

Abbotsleigh girls Gold, Silver & Bronze at NSW State

Year 8 classmates Jaimey, Katie and Tash achieved a podium finish together in the same race swimming side by side at Sydney Olympic Park tonight. Fellow classmate Imi and club mate Keely both swam very strongly in the heats and narrowly missed out on finals spots. Jaimey, who swims for Lane Cove club, Katie, Tash and Imi must hope to have caught the eye of Abbotsleigh Head Coach Leanne Speechley who will be considering her options for the school relay team. Assistant Coach, Brandon Lawrence, commented “I’m stoked”.
